The Austrian Neuroscience Association (ANA) aims at being the stage for the Neurosciences in Austria. We are the national partner for FENS (Federation of European Neuroscience Association) and by this connected to European Neuroscience and beyond. We focus on the skin, brain and adipose tissue. Our core technologies are open microperfusion, (pre)clinical biomedical models and analytical methods, which we use in translational studies: From basic research to approval-relevant studies for pharma and medtech.

Bioanalysis and Metabolomics

The focus is on our expertise in the field of mass spectrometry and immunochemistry under GLP standards. We develop and validate innovative bioanalytical methods for pharmaceutical and clinical research, for the analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and biomarkers in biological samples. With metabolomics, we develop methods to search for biomarkers and to research metabolic processes in various tissues. For the manufacturing industry, we develop methods for the validation and control of pharmaceutical processes.

Clinical Data Management and Statistics

We are specialized in the ICH-GCP-compliant collection, processing, analysis and evaluation of data from clinical trials with a focus on dermatology, diabetes, and metabolic research. A flexibly scalable quality assurance system enables us to handle everything from academic studies to approval-relevant studies (ADaM, SDTM format).  

We provide expertise for topics ranging from protocol design to reporting such as mock-ups, eCRFs, DMPs, data management, SAPs, data transfers.

Digital Healthcare Solutions

Digitization expertise is our contribution to a better healthcare system. Creating better prepared students where students have a better understanding of theory and practical work. Students are encouraged to think for themselves and design their own experiment (starting with 1st year bachelor students and beyond). Teacher and students get time for in-depth discussions.

LabBuddy transforms the curriculum into a blended learning approach in close communication with the teacher. A LabBuddy lab course is always tailor made, including specific protocols, safety procedures and equipment that the teacher is used to in his or her educational institution. Rockfish Bio is a biotech company centred on the development of senolytic compounds based on a newly discovered target pathway. Our target pathway was successfully tested in 7 different cell types with a therapeutic index of up to 700. Our lead candidate RFB01016 was able to restore neuromuscular functions and massively extend the health and life span (+40 % median survival time after start of treatment) in naturally aged mice. Proof-of-concept studies in several preclinical disease models are currently ongoing. THT Biomaterials is a privately-owned biotech start-up company based in the Vienna Biocenter Startup Labs (VBC6), Austria. What we do

THT Biomaterials aims at changing the way cell culture is done today by providing HUMAN PLACENTA proteins from the extracellular matrix such as collagen or laminin for cell culture applications.
