ÖGMBT thanks all speakers, attendees and sponsors for their contributions and support!
400 participants - 23 Plenary Lectures - 60 Short Talks - 18 Science Flashes - 77 Posters - 35 Sponsors/Exhibitors
After two very successful online meetings, the 14th ÖGMBT Annual Meeting „Life Sciences - Now more than ever" in Vienna was the first chance for live scientific exchange and an update on the products/services of the exhibiting industry.
A big thank to the members of the Scientific Committee chaired by Michael Sauer! They have chosen topics across all specialties of Life Sciences, so that everyone have found something of interest. Invited plenary speakers have shared state-of-the-art research and young scientists have presented their work in short talks and posters.
One highlight was the Life Science Awards Austria 2022 ceremony, where the brightest young researchers received the prestigious awards for their research efforts. Five young scientists have been honored for their internationally outstanding work: The Life Science Research Awards Austria 2022 went to Pia Gattinger (MedUni Vienna), Bernardo Almeida (IMP) and Peter Peneder (St. Anna Children's Cancer Research) who won the special prize for “Excellence & Societal Impact”. The prizes, each worth € 3,000, were awarded with the support of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Economics. Maximilian Schneider (IMBA) and Martin Wilkovitsch (TU Vienna) received the Life Science PhD Award Austria for their dissertations, these prizes were sponsored by Polymun Scientific and THP Medical Products. We congratulate all the winners for this great achievement! With 400 participants on site and over 300 CV submissions to our Talent Pool the fair was a creat success. See the best moments in the picture gallery.
