Hans Clevers Announced as Plenary Speaker at ECB2020 Hans Clevers is group leader at the Hubrecht Institute for Developmental Biology and Stem Cell Research and at the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology. He is also professor of Molecular Genetics at the University Medical Center Utrecht and Utrecht University and Oncode Investigator. The Clevers group has pioneered methods to study the molecular mechanisms of tissue development and cancer of various organs. A major contribution is the development of organoids made from adult Lgr5 stem cells. This is a tissue culture technique that avoids the use of animal models Opportunities to request a short talk during the Maastricht Congress Four short talks will be included in each symposium in the scientific programme.
