Course summary: Inflammation is the healthy response of the organism to injury, but when unchecked causes collateral damage and immunopathology. Understanding the mechanisms that drive and curb inflammation is mandatory for the design of therapies to acute chronic inflammatory disorders. Here we gather specialists on various myeloid and lymphoid immune cells, specific animal disease models, as well as cytokine networks to discuss their recent findings and brainstorm about potential novel therapies.
