That’s the project

In gasfermentation bioprocesses, gases are used by microorganisms as substrates. Gases are converted into products like microbial biomass (single cell protein), liquids or into other gases. The goal of this project is to develop, engineer, optimize and test bioreactor set-ups for establishing highly productive gasfermentation processes from H2/CO2.

Qualifications

    • Education as process, chemical or laboratory technician
    • Experience in fermentation or industrial biotechnology
    • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to work independently and management of own weekly and monthly deliverables
    • Hands-on approach, dive into details to help support and improve projects
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Fluency in English (German language skills are an advantage)

    Responsibilities

    • Operating, monitoring, and maintaining bioreactors for gas fermentation, occasionally it demands
    • working outside standard working hours.
    • Working with a process control software.
    • Preparing sterile solutions and exchanging gas bottles.
    • Sample preparation and documentation.

     

    That’s what you should know

     

    • The minimum annual gross salary is EUR 37.489.
    • This corresponds to a monthly net amount of EUR 1.964 (paid 14 times a year).
    • Start: as soon as possible, latest 1st of July 2024
