Our
Center for Health & Bioresources invites applications for an
internship position for our location in
Tulln (in immediate vicinity to Vienna). In the Center for Health & Bioresources we aim to solve challenges associated with demographic change, resource scarcity and environmental pollution and to develop innovative solutions, that enable early disease detection and support healthy and active aging.
As part of our research unit
Bioresources you will work with our world-leading experts in deciphering plant-microbe interactions with elaborated methodological skills and profound scientific insights in the ecology and physiology of fungi, bacteria, parasites, toxins (chemical hazards) and allergens and plants. In the recent years in Europe, the share of alternative production systems, driven by innovative marketing strategies have grown. However, microbial food safety of these systems has not been addressed properly. In scope of this internship, you will get an opportunity to cast light upon potential microbial hazards related to one selected food type.
