Application open: 31st August 2026

Possible start of work: 1st October 2026

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Paracelsus Private Medical University (PMU) combines excellence in research and teaching
in the fields of medicine, nursing and pharmacy. In an interdisciplinary, supportive environ-
ment, we are working to shape the future of healthcare.
The Institute of Molecular Regenerative Medicine at the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU)
is offering a PhD position in spinal cord injury research within the PMU PhD program (Doctoral
program in Medical Science / Paracelsus Medical Private University).
The Institute of Molecular Regenerative Medicine team focusses on mechanism and therapy
development in spinal cord injury. Traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI) is a devastating condition
that results in permanent neurological deficits and remains without effective regenerative ther-
apies. This PhD project aims to investigate the therapeutic potential of human platelet lysate
