Job Description:
Technician (VwGr IIIa; 10 hours/week), Institute for Biomedical Aging Research, starting January 1, 2026.
Main tasks: Performing scientific and technical work; providing general organizational and technical support
to the working group. Required qualifications: General qualification for university entrance (“Matura”) or
equivalent qualification plus completed training as a medical technician (or comparable qualification);
Knowledge and practical experience in cell culture technology; Experience with standard molecular biology
methods; Interest in skin biology research; Good written and spoken English skills; PC skills (MS Office);
Reliability and accuracy, ability to work independently and in a team, organizational skills.

For this position in job group IIIa, a minimum gross salary of € 675 per month (14 times)* is stipulated in the
collective agreement. Your actual starting salary will depend on your previous experience and will increase
over the course of your employment.
