Medical Scientific Liaison Neuroscience (m/f/d)

Location: Vienna

Contract: full time, permanent contract

In this important role you will act as a scientific expert with deep knowledge of the Therapeutic Area (TA),

treatment trends incl. unmet medical needs, scientific insights and studies to maximize company product

value through high quality scientific knowledge management. You will be contributing to the planning,

designing and accountable for executing the Medical Affairs Plan, including the local parts of the overall

study planning process (IEGP). You will contribute to the Country Value Team (CVT) and Local Action

Team (LAT) by sharing medical knowledge and insights from the field with the cross-functional team and

herewith contributing to achieving aligned goals.

 

Scientific Knowledge

  • Acts as a scientific expert and actively participates in international/national congresses, medical

education events and hospitation or comparable programs to continuously improve both scientific and

practical knowledge around product and disease areas and to identify evolving scientific concepts

  • Acts as a medical speaker for educational workshops, seminars and programs for physicians,

pharmacists and scientists

External Stakeholder Management

  • Identifying and closely collaborating with key Leading Specialists to identify customer needs and based

on that tailoring MAF activities such as round tables, ad boards, medical education activities or related

medical projects

  • Accountable for writing the MSL activity plan tailored to the LS’s needs and aligned with CVT strategy.

Executing the MSL activity plans in close collaboration with Commercial, Sales and HEMAR

  • Has an oversight over all research-centers and key researchers in the respective country

Medical Affairs Plan

  • Contributing to the planning, coordination and execution of the Medical Affairs Plan incl. medical budget

Internal Stakeholder Management

  • Acts as medical representative in the field. Contributes to account-planning activities by sharing gained

insights and updating Sales colleagues on MSL activity plans for LS

  • Contributes to the CVT and LAT by providing medical expertise, disease area & home country market

insights and by leading medical programs

  • Contributes to the creation of promotional material and is accountable for reviewing promotional material
  • Accountable for giving medical training to medical, marketing and sales colleagues and other employees
  • Discusses and accepts if appropriate investigator proposals for IISs.
  • Covers the role of a local study responsible scientist and the local study responsible physician when

delegated to this role and contributes to study protocols and early access programs

  • Full compliance with J&J Credo and HCBI principles to preserve trust and reputation towards HCP and

patients using the products

Professional

  • Scientific degree: Medical Doctor, Pharmaceutical or Natural Science University degree
  • Deep knowledge of the Therapeutic Area preferred, strength in research and interpretation of medical data
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ relevant work experience, scientific acumen and communication skills in order to be
  • accepted by Leading Specialists in peer-to-peer relationship
  • Fluency in German and English required
  • Location: field-based and has a proportion of 70% of external customer interaction
