Company Information: TAmiRNA was founded in 2013 to discover, validate and qualify microRNA biomarkers for use in drug development and clinical diagnosis. TAmiRNA has a strong research and development focus and seeks to develop innovative solutions for unmet clinical needs.

We are seeking a highly ambitious Senior Scientist with several years of experience with next-generation sequencing wet lab and data analysis to support our R&D and CRO services unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing and implementing NGS protocols, to independently conduct sequencing projects (primarily smallRNA) as well as data analyses, interact with international project partners, and present results at scientific international meetings. Payment is based on the “Kollektivvertrag Angestellte Chemische Industrie” for a full-time position and amounts to 3479.86 Euro gross (Brutto). Willingness to overpay according to qualifications and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Planning, conduction and supervision of lab experiments related to development and application of NGS for RNA expression analysis in various biological samples, especially liquid biopsies. Focus is on small RNAs and specifically microRNAs.
  • Bioinformatic/biostatistical data analyses and visualization of NGS and other datasets.
  • Independent management of R&D and CRO projects.
  • Presentation of results at international conferences and exhibitions, including technical support to project partners and customers.
  • Supervision of Master and PhD candidates

Professional Requirements:

  • PhD or Master’s Degree with several years of experience/track record in the relevant scientific areas based on scientific publications. Experience in working with microRNAs is highly advantageous.
  • Solid wet-lab experience related to NGS library preparation and sequencing.
  • Data analysis expertise using R, SPSS, or other similar software.
  • Software engineering skills to develop workflows and support data management is advantageous.
  • Independent and critical thinking to solve problems.
  • Team oriented work attitude with interest in working in a team of young and motivated people.
  • Willingness to travel once or twice per quarter.
  • German and English fluently both in spoken and written language
