ÖGMBT - This was the Workshop: Advanced Cell Culture Technologies

The Working Group Cell Based Assays, Therapies and Products organized the first workshop "Advanced Cell Culture Technologies" on March 17 It was a great pleasure to organize and host the &Ouml;GMBT workshop &ldquo;Advanced Cell Culture Technologies&rdquo; of the &Ouml;GMBT working group &ldquo;Cell based assays, therapies and products&rdquo; at BOKU. It was an intense day full of exciting talks, lively discussions and networking activities. We would like to thank all participants and the organizers of the &Ouml;GMBT and BOKU for making this event a great success; special thanks go to our keynote speakers PD Dr. Antonina Lavrentieva and Prof. Dr. Jan Hansmann, who shared unique insights into how cells perceive their 3D environment and how automation can enhance our research output. Congratulations to our poster prize winners Sonya Ciulean (Fraunhofer IZI, Leipzig, Germany) and Julia Moldaschl (BOKU), who won free admission for the next &Ouml;GMBT Annual Meeting in Salzburg. A working group represents a national network of &Ouml;GMBT members, in which a certain topic is to be worked on or this activity is to be initiated in the medium to long term. In particular, networks or consortia should come together across institutions and regions for joint activities. In addition to creating synergies in the use of resources, the aim is to achieve a leverage effect in the joint development of project ideas and through joint funding applications.
