Dear fellow scientists,

It is our pleasure to invite you to this year’s Vienna Biocenter PhD symposium called “MindTheApp - Applications that Bridge Biology and Technology”. It will take place on 3rd and 4th of November 2016 in Vienna, Austria.

The VBC PhD symposium is organized by graduate students from four research institutes: Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP), Gregor Mendel Institute of Molecular Plant Biology (GMI), Max F. Perutz Laboratories (MFPL) and Institute of Molecular Biotechnology (IMBA).

This is an interdisciplinary conference involving 15 international scientists who have unconventionally applied technology to basic research or conceived an innovative application from a scientific finding. Topics include “Molecular Toolbox”, “Bioengineering Medicine”, “Manipulating the Code” and “Shaping Ecosystems”.

Registration is free. Furthermore, there are travel grants for MSc students available.

We are looking forward to welcome you to our symposium!
