Position

We are recruiting Technical Assistants to join the R&D team, and to support services and production as required. One new full and one part time position are available now.

 

Responsibilities

Ÿ   Purify, process, and analyse nucleic acids

Ÿ   Prepare libraries for Next Generation sequencing

Ÿ   Apply a large variety of molecular biology techniques

Ÿ   Test and optimize new protocols

Ÿ   Support the design of experiments

Ÿ   Document all experimental proceedings

Ÿ   Perform primary data analyses

Ÿ   Support routine services at peak times

Ÿ   Quality control of products and support production

 

Requirements

Ÿ   Hands-on experience with standard molecular biology techniques is mandatory

Ÿ   Experience in working with nucleic acids and NGS workflows is preferable

Ÿ   Attention to detail and work to highest quality standards is paired with thorough documentation skills

Ÿ   Ability and interest to work in a fast-paced R&D environment

Ÿ   Self-motivated mentality, cooperative team spirit, and good organizational skills

Ÿ   Good command of the English language

Ÿ   Applied computer skills are required

Ÿ   Education:

      – MSc, BSc or FH diploma or equivalent degree in life sciences

      – Technical college for chemistry, molecular biology or life sciences

      – Medical technical assistant, chemical technical assistant or equivalent

Remuneration will be according to experience and performance.  (Disclaimer according to Austrian Law: Minimum base salary according to collective agreement for utilization group III is EUR 1783,71 per month for a full-time position.)
