We, a young and innovative team, are searching for a PhD candidate in the field of bioprocess development.  Our vision is to utilize hybrid models in both up and downstream. Hybrid models bridge the gap between mechanistic process understanding and data driven process knowledge. Currently we are developing a hybrid model approach in an industry relevant microbial fermentation process. Meanwhile a hybrid model toolbox is under development which can be used to set up models for different unit operations easily. The project received an RSA-grant in 2016 and started with 09/2017. Detailed information can be found in the QR Code (in German). We already have customers being interested in the toolbox. Once this toolbox is ready as minimal viable product, a company will be founded from this research project.
